Each empire participating in combat is allowed to have up to 10 task forces (TFs) engaged in the fight. Any TFs present beyond the 10 will not be used. This can artificially inhibit the AI, because the AI isn't programmed to be aware of this limitation. By applying this patch, you may select an alternate maximum TF limit.

Please be aware that system performance will degrade the more TFs participate in combat. Tests performed suggested that approaching the limit of 50, the FPS (frames per second) of combat was less than 10, making it extremely difficult to either control or watch combat progress.

Also, the number of 'cards' the UI (user interface) will display is 12. Beyond that, you will have to select the TF on the battle screen itself.
